I had been battling swelling in my face for so long. The drainage of mucus from my head was so strong.

Yes, you can experience nasal drainage and facial swelling after a head injury due to localized inflammation, soft tissue trauma, or a more serious skull fracture. [1]

Injuries, Permanent High Histamine, and MCAS

When you experience a physical injury, your body relies heavily on mast cells to initiate healing. Mast cells naturally rush to the site of trauma and release histamine to open up blood vessels so healing agents can get through.

Yes, physical injuries and trauma can act as significant triggers that disrupt your immune system, potentially leading to chronic mast cell issues, high histamine, and autoimmune conditions like Hashimoto’s thyroiditis.

How Trauma and Stress Impact the Gut

The Brain-Gut Axis: Severe emotional or psychological abuse keeps the body in a prolonged state of stress. This communication pathway between your brain and your digestive system can alter pain perception and immune responses. (Leaky gut) (‘which begins the process’).

Homemade Spinach Wraps #guthealth #autoimmunedisease #neurotransmitters #ccisurvivor #lorijeanfinnila #keepingmyselfwell

https://www.theconsciousplantkitchen.com/spinach-tortillas/

I need gluten horribly or I get VERY weak. So making sandwich wraps with less flour REALLY makes a difference.  Thank you @theconsciousplantkitchen  I added 1/2 tsp of baking powder and I made them a bit bigger only making 5. I also used 1/2 c. of frozen spinach squeezed. I let the dough sit in the fridge for about 20 minutes. When they were hard to handle I went to the next ball and came back. It seems letting them sit for a bit in between rolls makes them a bit firmer to handle. I will probably use a bit less water next time. And I always like to lightly brush my ceramic 12” with extra virgin olive oil for each flip. I love waiting for the bubbles to show up. It takes a while for my burner to heat up enough so the 2nd and 3rd ones start to really show up nice.

Angel hair pasta is easier on my stomach too. I don’t eat pasta often but when I do organic angel hair is what I eat.

love to wrap Swiss cheese, lettuce, chopped tomatoes and pickles with avocado oil mayo and olive oil or avocado oil chips. I have to have this meal for dinner twice a week.

Electrolytes For Low Sodium in Your Blood #hyponatremia #autoimmunedisease #lorijeanfinnila #keepingmyselfwell #electrolytes

My sodium levels are a little off causing me to get dizzy and fatigue at times. This isn’t surprising where I have Hashimoto’s. This condition when blood levels are off enough is called hyponatremia.

I had been taking electrolytes on my own learning this from other women at TikTok where I had been dizzy. My primary care provider recently told me to take electrolytes as well. My vitals are stable so this is good. They’re only a little off in my blood. So I’m taking extra electrolytes. I had been taking a scoop of EVL in my smoothie. I now have added a single of Pure Kick which gives me the needed boost to fight fatigue. I get dizzy when I have to go out.

I don’t want to lessen my exercise where I’ve already cut back. This helps as well. Strength training helps me breathe easier with my conditions: deviated septum, possible long covid, and permanent anesthetic neurotoxicity-which is a complication in itself: fatigue for sure. If I search deep enough I find the reason for having a harder time breathing with my lungs to this connecting the condition hypoxic encephalopathy which anesthesia can also do as well as destroying my brain cells and causing sensory damage. My sensory damage was the first thing I noticed when this happened to me (1990) not feeling familiarity in my neighborhood when I went out because my senses when I would normally reach to this place were damaged at this point. I think this may have come from the long amount of time they left me in the recovery room with my heart racing without aiding this causing and sealing more damage to my body-I believe it was hours they let this go on. (Knowing now I have the healing ability of Reiki in me I had been using that to hold me over, having to have to do this so many times in my life to survive abuse. I think this definitely helped me from the worst feeling this was done to me intentionally.)

Updated: Hormone Creams Seep Into the Bloodstream #mayoclinic #autoimmunedisease #lorijeanfinnila #leepingmyselfwell #hormonecream

I may have made a mistake. Mine is a low dose vaginal cream. I only hurt on the outside. (Estradiol)

Update to the update: 😅 Works like a charm.

My healthcare provider prescribed me hormone cream and told me it doesn't enter the blood stream. Mayo clinic disagrees. I have an autoimmune disease where this can trigger my thyroid.

Psyllium Husk Gel Coating For Our Nervous System: Electric Current #photonicchips #domesticviolence #psylliumhusk

Image by Laszlo Bartucz from Pixabay

Many women are being left in trenches to live unrecognizable because they left their partner (for whatever reason). I feel I was put into a purposeful mild brain injury from anesthesia because I left mine. This leaves a damaged nervous system which is very troubling. I know there are many other ways to do this to a woman besides this.

I’ve found a half a tablespoon in my smoothie of whole psyllium husk aids the digestive system with a coated gel which can help ease electric currents from our devices and other means while research is working on photonic chips in devices that use light-pulses and glass instead of electric currents and wire.

Use Saline Nasal Spray For Brain Fog #brainfog #autoimmunediseases #nervoussystem #lorijeanfinnila #keepingmyselfwell

Image by Tung Lam from Pixabay

I just used saline nasal mist 2 sprays upright in each nose and it brought back clarity. I use Flonase which dries out my nose. Also, I want to mention if you’re bedridden or the sun affects you like myself try using plants in your windows or nearby you as well as using some window light or sun if you can to help keep your body healthily connected to the outdoors.

Strength Training Improves Brain Damage After Being Slapped in the Face or Being Shaken, Pushed, or Shoved #SAS #ShakenAdultSyndrome #DAI #domesticviolence #abuse #strengthtraining #rapidacceleration

I’ve been slapped across the face. And though I slapped first I was being taken down and physically kinetically to a more dangerous place to death-I was protecting myself from physical abuse from this which is self defense. Unfortunately the police don’t recognize this: Gabby Petito. If Gabby felt safe to run to her family she would have automatically made that move-just in hindsight.

Unfortunately with violence to a woman’s body: being shaken, slapped, or even worse causes brain cell damage that doesn’t show up in regular exams. Shaken Adult Syndrome (SAS) occurs in many women and is not accounted for in the long term damage. DAI (diffuse axonal injury) occurs-‘severe subtype characterized by widespread white matter disruption resulting from rapid acceleration-deceleration forces.’ (NLM 7-25’)

I myself have suffered much of this with permanent damage recorded in my medical records. Sadly other women, many, are unaccounted for.

I feel a renewed sense of life where I’ve been strength training now for 2 months bringing my mind back from over 30 years ago of whom I was and glimpses of my intelligence from then. I find this a rapid acceleration in women’s health to come. It gives me hope for the quality of my life and more long term possibilities.

Where I Was Abused #bethisrael #mtsinai #keepingmyselfwell

Image by anil kumar from Pixabay

Icahn School of Medicine (sister of the abusive Beth Israel/Mt Sinai NYC closed-servicing HIP in NYC now EmblemHealth, also with massive complaints filed on their care) is using trials on humans in a border neighborhood of the impoverished in NYC. Jewish Daniel Bruckstein founder of Continuum Healthcare provides care for aging seniors. Continuum merged Beth Israel with Mt. Sinai. Many Iranian students have trained at Beth Israel and Mt Sinai. All past records from Beth Israel/Mt Sinai are stored at Icahn. Recruits are through HuMed for these schools who do not follow the traditional MCAT Path. Many complaints filed against Icahn.

Strength Training and Taste Buds #autoimmunediseases #spoonie #strengthtraining #tastebuds #healthyfood #keepingmyselfwell

I've been strength training and had been working with a trainer at a gym doing stretches. This has been going on for almost 2 months. Being a spoonie I had to cut down my limits. I ended at home doing strength training.

I've ended up being able to use my taste buds more. Don't know how this helped. I'm able to eat healthier food because my body isn't craving for more flavors to get me to eat substantially. I made sweet potato tortillas today. I had 2 scrambled eggs with one and a pickle, tomatoes, apple, and a few chips. It actually tasted really good. I would have ordinarily gagged on it. My body is appreciating the nutrients.

I only do an online express 15 minute senior class. I'll tell you they pack a punch. Right now I'm lagging to hold onto twice a week. Between having to cook my own meals, a bit of yoga and walking when I can, and having to vacuum and sometimes mop every night to keep ants out it is hard. But I pray to God to keep giving me the strength.

Histamine Blockers Can Ease Dysautonomia Symptoms #dysautonomia #autoimmunedisease #gutissues #histamineblockers #lorijeanfinnila #keepingmyselfwell

Dysautonomia is a very scary disorder linked to autoimmune diseases, gut issues, head injuries and more. According to the National Library of Medicine and what I just experienced taking a generic Allegra, histamine blockers aid in the symptoms of dysautonomia-which is a disorder that malfunctions the autonomic nervous system. I get dizzy and fainting spells. This usually happens when my body feels exerted. This didn’t start until a couple of years ago when I believe it was triggered through toxic chemicals in the building I was living in. My nervous system is already compromised as well as I have head injuries. I get a lot of histamine coming up from my stomach because I have Hashimoto’s - which very often carries the 3’s: dysautonomia, mast cell activation, and pots.

An antihistamine like Allegra (fexofenadine) can ease dysautonomia symptoms when an underlying overlap with mast cell activation or histamine release drives the autonomic response.

Hashimoto's thyroiditis connects to dysautonomia, POTS, and mast cell activation (MCAS) through shared immune-system confusion, chronic inflammation, and an autonomic-immune feedback loop where inflammatory chemicals and nervous system misfires worsen each other.

Quinoa Stabalizes Neurotransmitters #autoimmunediseases #brainfog #quinoa #lorijeanfinnila

https://www.pexels.com/@googledeepmind/highlights/

It’s amazing how frightened we get when we’re stuck in brain fog. Most of the time we don’t even realize this. The simplest of changes control our functioning. I found one secret to quinoa. ‘It stabalizes the neurotransmitters required for sharp mental clarity.

Then I come back and I’m not so scared. My body and mind can function.

Quinoa: superfood amino acids

It is good for digestive disorders. I know that’s where I go when I’m at my worst. So simple. And I can’t find my way out. Brain fog? Free of cholesterol and trans fat. Guiltless food to eat quoted by Patricia Green and Carolyn Hemming of the book I may explore to read titled ‘Quinoa 365: The Everyday Food at Amazon.

Right now I use cooked quinoa for a recipe. I gag down regular quinoa and then it doesn’t stay down if you know what I mean. I’ll try flakes and powders when I have more money.
