Dementia Yoga #dementia #restorativeyogateacher #lorijeanfinnila

I put together a simple yoga dementia class. I feel this will be helpful. I found this out today when my brain was leaving a bit but I brought it back during a hip pose. I also did Reiki on myself so this helped too. I had a hard day physically yesterday that affected my brain injury. Even though it's mild it can be affected too. Something always comes good out of everything. I'll be making my own modifications to these poses. Watch for this class coming out.

This is beginner. Start preparing with bolsters, pillows, towels (all sizes), blankets, and yoga blocks.

Poses in order:

Supported Heart Pose

Side Lying Pose

Relaxation Pose or Shavasana

Toast the oats in a pan on the stove on medium high heat for about 6 minutes stirring in between adding a pinch of salt. Melt some honey, about 1/4 c. in a pan sprinkling a bit of coconut sugar to taste. Take off stove once warmed up and add 1 c. of raisins. Sprinkle coconut sugar on the toasted oats. FYI: Carcinogenic and DNA-Damaging Herbs #toxicherbs #lorijeanfinnila #keepingmyself

I love basil, yet I’ve been having a trigger from my body to it. It's more like a red flag to me where I’m used to looking for those with chronic toxicity, Hashimoto's, and nerve fibers damage from hypoxic encephalopathy from anesthesia. I thought to explore it. And sure enough my body was right. I had felt something to fennel too. They both have a (genotoxic) DNA-damaging toxin in it called estragole which is toxic and carcinogenic.

It's in anise, basil, fennel, marjoram and more. It's considered unsafe for pregnant and nursing moms and those vulnerable. I myself if not vulnerable would explore this thought.
